1. Decking

Decking for floating boat docks can be made from a variety of materials. One of the most practical and popular choices that has emerged is PVC decking. PVC decking is made by whipping PVC into a less dense aerated foam. The lightweight foam is extruded – or forced out – into a variety of sizes. It performs similarly to real wood but without the drawbacks, such as warping. PVC decking is a remarkable, no-maintenance solution.

2. Gangways and Ramps

A gangway refers to the metal walkway connecting from your property to the floating dock, allowing pedestrian transportation. Unlike gangways, ramps do not have handrails. 3. Flotation Supports

Flotation supports alleviate the possibility of the leading edge of the dock having to support the full weight of the gangway. This allows the dock to sit level with the water despite fluctuations in the water level.

4. Transition Plates

AccuDock’s transition plates are all made of marine-grade aluminum and are diamond plated to provide additional traction. Transition plates are often used for installs that require the use of rollers. These plates also prevent the possibility of a trip hazard caused by the 6-inch difference in height between the gangway and dock.
